Questions on nails


Q1: How long does it take for a Manicure/Pedicure session?

A1: Express Manicure/Pedicure takes an average of 1.5 hours while Classic Manicure/Pedicure takes an average 2 hours. It’s depends on your design.

Q2: What is the difference between Express Manicure and Classic Manicure?

A2: Classic Manicure includes services of cutting, shaping, buffing of nails and removal of dead skin before gel is applied while Express Manicure only includes shaping and buffing of nails before gel is applied on your nails.

Q3: Do you use regular polish or gel polish?

A3: We use only soft gel polish at Kosame

Q4: What is the difference between regular and gel polish?

A4: Regular polish takes a longer time to dry and does not stay on the nails for long (approximately 1 week). Gel polish “cure” fast under UV/LED lights, and last longer (3-6 weeks). However, unlike regular polish, gel polish are harder to remove. It requires a process of “soak-off” using gel polish removal, which takes around 30 minutes.

Q5: Do you provide nail extension services?

A5: Unfortunately, We do not provide nail extension services and we do not use acrylic nails as well.

Q6: What are Green nails and what should I do if I have them?

A6: Green nails (green discoloration on your nails) are caused by bacteria which happens when gel is lifted and water gets in between your nails and the gel. For prevention, you should remove the gel immediately once you have notice the lift. If you are suffering from green nails, it is advisable to stop all gel/other artificial nails manicure. Simply let your nails grow and cut them off. Beware that the bacteria on the green nails can be spread to other nails, so any tools used on the green nail should be disinfected after use.

Q7: Does Gel Manicure/Pedicure make my nails weak and dry? What should I do?

A7: The answer is yes, you should let your nails rest (at least 3 months) when you feel that your nails have became weak. You can also use cuticle oil to moisturise your cuticle and nail area.

Q8: Does matte coatings last as long as glossy coatings?

A8: It depends on individual. However, matte finishes are more easily stained and the stains could be hard to remove. If stained, you may try removing them with regular nail polish remover.

Q9: What if my gel nails chip or is damaged within 10 days after my Manicure/Pedicure service?

A9: We will provide repair service for free if your gel is damaged within 10 days. After 10 days, there will be charges for repair.

Q10: What promotion/discount do you have?

A10: (1) There is a 10% discount for first-time customers if you are following our Instagram account. (2) For existing customers, you can enjoy 20% discount when you refer someone to do their nails with us. (3) And 20% discount off on your birthday month! (:

Q1: How do I go about buying them?

A1: You can make orders via sms, WhatsApp (+65 8321-8367), email, or Instagram message. Please provide your (1) Name, (2) Contact number, (3) Name of painting, and (4) Preferred frame size. You are also welcomed to visit Kosame art gallery and make your purchase on the spot.

Q2: What payment modes do you accept?

A2: We accept payment by cash, paynow, and bank transfer only.

Q3: What are the shipping options?

A3: You can do self-collect at the shop or opt for courier services (Additional charges applies).

Q4: What kind of paints do you use?

A4: We use acrylic paints for all my paintings.

Q5: Are the paintings coated?

A5: Yes, they are coated with 2 layers of matte varnish. This is protect the paintings from dust, UV rays, and yellowing.

Q6: How long in advance should I make a customised order?

A6: Please order at least one week in advance.
